Hey iDance fam,
As per the BC's Restart Plan Step 3, for all indoor fitness classes, we have a few fun changes happening for our amazing iDance Family!
At both our Mt Pleasant & Kitsilano studio will be now regular intensity levels. Both studios are open for in-studio, in-person dance classes. We will also be slowly, and cautiously be increasing class capacity.
iDance Mask Policy - As per the PHO Guidance, iDance Vancouver aligns and supports wearing your mask in indoor public spaces for everyone aged 12 and over, until you are fully vaccinated approximately two weeks after your second dose.

🌼 iDance In The Park
Our Mt Pleasant scheduled classes will be both be held in the PARK and IN-STUDIO, please pay attention when booking. PARK classes will be hosted in Jonathan Rogers Park.

Now, please note the following:

Masks must be worn at all times
Covid-19 Policies must be abided by at all times
Please arrive only 5 minutes prior to your class
Bring a personal water bottle

If any instructor or client becomes ill with cold, influenza, or COVID-like symptoms, even mild symptoms (whether tested for Covid-19 or not), they will be required to avoid all of iDance Vancouver’s locations for a minimum of 14 days. If an instructor or client begins to show any potential Covid-19 symptoms they will be encouraged to be tested for Covid-19, as per the recommendations of HeatlhLinkBC.
iDance Vancouver is putting our full trust into you, and that you will honor our guidelines set out and hold yourself accountable in order to ensure we all work together at keeping all of our dance studios a safe and healthy place.
Anyone found not abiding by the set-out guidelines will be asked to leave the premises immediately and will not be welcomed back to iDance Vancouver. This will be considered a lifetime ban.
All dancers must pre-register for classes, we will not be accepting any day-of drop-ins. Dancers should arrive only 15 minutes prior to the start of class. Dancers will also be asked to leave the studio in a prompt manner. Members must check-in with the reception in order to attend class.
All dancers must pre-register for classes, we will not be accepting any day-of drop-ins. Classes are operating at 50% capacity. We will be accepting 20 dancer's on our waitlist. You may reserve your spot up to 5 days before the day of the next class.
Please cancel regular classes at least 12-hours before your class. After 12-hours you will lose your class credit. If you book a class and don’t show up you lose your class credit. For unlimited package holders, there is a $20 no-show fee for in-studio classes and $10 for virtual classes. There are no refunds or transfers for class packages or private bookings.
It will be mandatory for all dancers to use hand sanitizer before and after each class.

Please bring minimal items to the dance studio, all items will be taken into the dance studio and placed in marked areas. Outdoor shoes must be stored in a shoe bag (plastic bag of some sort), and placed at the front door. NO OUTDOOR SHOES will be allowed into the studio. Please do not bring food into the studio. Water bottles must remain in your bags at all times, minus during water breaks.
LOST & FOUND
All items left at the studio will be disposed of nightly, there will be no lost and found.
Please limit the use of the washroom while at the studio, the washroom should be used only in case of an emergency. Please try to use the washroom only during your scheduled class time (not before or after). Do not change in washrooms.
FILMING & PHONES
All phones must be left in your bag, no filming at the end of class will be allowed. Classes can only be filmed by designated personal, which we will then share with you after class. Please notify the instructor if you would like a copy of the video.
ILLNESS & TRAVEL
If you are unwell at all, please stay home and contact the studio immediately if you have booked a class and are unable to attend please get in touch with the studio immediately. If you have recently traveled outside of Vancouver or the surrounding area, please avoid the studio for 14 days.
ACTIVATION DATES, HOLDS & ROLL-OVERS
All memberships must be activated 30 days after the purchase date. Only 1 hold is permitted during the duration of your class card and 1 hold per year on monthly memberships, with a maximum hold of 30 - 60 days depending on membership. If you purchase a new class pass prior to the expiry of your current class pass, any remaining classes will be rolled over onto your new class pass.
All payments must be received prior to the start of class and there will be no refunds.
Prices are in Canadian dollars and do not include GST. GST is added separately. We accept cash, debit, and all major credit cards.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear something you are comfortable sweating in. Tees, tanks, and leggings are common. Your shoes should be indoor-only and athletic in style. Running shoes or cross-trainers are ideal for Hip Hop styles and Zumba. Socks or bare feet for classes like ballet, jazz, and contemporary. Pack a reusable water bottle but please leave glass bottles or jars at home.
I AM A BEGINNER DANCER, CAN I TAKE CLASS?
Our classes are beginner-friendly. Most of our students have little or no dance experience and our classes are designed with this in mind.
HOW ARE THE CLASSES STRUCTURED?
All of the classes start with some kind of warm-up exercises. For example, in ballet, you start at the barre. After the warm-up, you work on short combinations of steps and moves and finally, a choreographed combination that changes week to week.
WHAT IF I CAN’T DO EVERYTHING IN CLASS?
We give you a blueprint of movement and are happy for you to make it your own based on what you’re comfortable with. Our instructors can also provide alternative options if you have an injury. We're not here for competition or performance, it's all about feeling good and we're here to help you get there.
WHAT SHOULD I *NOT* BRING?
Valuables. Although the studio is well-monitored, things can go missing. You're welcome to take things into the studio with you, but make sure they're out of the way and not a tripping hazard. iDance Vancouver is not responsible for loss or theft of personal property.
IS THERE PARKING?
At our Mt Pleasant location, there is metered parking on Broadway or free parking on 8th Street and surrounding side streets. Our Kitsilano location has ample free 60-minute parking, and tons of street parking.
