AFROBEATS with Isaac Gasangwa
Afrobeats leaves room for self-expression and enables each individual to follow his own ‘body language’. Every innovation and creation involve a thorough knowledge of technique which can then be ‘forgotten’ in order to allow spontaneous personal variations - Afrobeats is a the perfect example of this. The essence of real, traditional Afrobeats is indeed continual creation and solo improvisations are a big part of traditional Afrobeats, enabling each member of the community to express his own life story or feelings through movement. Everyone can dance to African music. The idea is to feel the music and express yourself. Let yourself go. It’s also an incredible and fun way to have a great body workout!

JAZZ FUNK with Annie Chen
Jazz Funk will have you sweating from beginning to end. The choreography is a fun mix of party grooves with a splash of Beyonce sexy. Come dance it out with me in a space where self-expression is encouraged, whatever that may be for you! All genders and levels welcome. Jazz Funk is a hybrid of hip hop and jazz techniques. Although jazz-funk borrows from hip hop dance, it is not considered a style of hip hop because the foundational movements are jazz. Choreography is usually performed to popular or hip hop music. The movements are usually sharp but can have a groovy flow should the music inspire.
